In the quarter century or so we’ve been in business we have always sought to stretch the boundaries of what our discipline is capable of. We have done this because the world in which we live and work is constantly evolving and now more than ever before, the world of comms demands a forward thinking approach. To see this, I need look no further than the unquenchable curiosity of our own staff.

It’s with this in mind we are proud to open our new innovation hub, Smarts Labs.

Smarts Labs is part of our investment in building an incredibly exciting future. Part R&D, part-testing ground, part dream-chaser the Labs are our space for exploration, a place where our team can pursue fresh thinking beyond the everyday pursuit of great ideas on behalf of our clients.

Of course we fully expect the results of this thinking to also impact the work we do – making it ever richer and more innovative – but first and foremost we want to make sure we create a place where our greatest assets, our people, can unsettle, challenge and grow themselves. More creative, inspired people will lead to more creative, inspired work.

As we begin this adventure the simple truth is that we do not know exactly where Smarts Labs will take us but we are confident that a dedicated development space that focuses on personal passions, trends, data and tech will inevitably lead to bolder solutions in the future.

With that in mind we are proud to release our first project called Tuunio in partnership with our good friends at the award-winning design collective The Space Between.

Tuunio is a new social playlisting tool that allows people to connect their social media accounts to Spotify and build collaborative playlists with people from all around the world.
